Education was really not my first career choice, but after a cancer diagnosis, I knew I wanted to change the trajectory of my life and become an educator. After just four short and rewarding years in the classroom, I knew I wanted to make an even bigger impact, and that has led to my current position of a middle school principal where 650 5th and 6th grade students are in my care. My passion for leading students to become the best version of themselves in and out of the classroom has driven this new consulting venture. I believe there is always room to grow and opportunities to get better, and the services we provide will help you and your campus establish processes that foster continual improvement.

Hi! My name is Shellen Richardson and I am a career special educator. I am in my 12th year of working in public education, 7th as an Educational Diagnostician. Working with students of special needs really is a passion of mine and I have been known to escape the solitude of my little office and venture into the classrooms and playgrounds to better get to know my stakeholders.
I have figured out some really interesting ways to do things that make my life and my teachers’ lives simpler and more effective to truly make our school the best place for our students. These tips and tricks can be used across all settings, exceptionality categories, and beyond! I would love to share these little nuggets with you!
